Master Recruiter: In the early 2000s, Allison Gambone was a struggling singer-songwriter who had scored a minor hit on Billboard Magazine’s dance charts with a song called "Can’t Go On." While apartment hunting, she encountered a Queens rental agent who charged her $800 to look at one apartment, she says. "I couldn’t believe it. It seemed like so much money. I decided then and there that I needed to get involved in real estate."
Part-time start: For the next few years, she worked part-time as a rental agent in order to finance her music career. Gradually, but not totally, real estate took over. Today, as manager and associate broker of Keller Williams’ only New York office, she supervises about 200 salespeople, who produce $137 million in volume and 260 sides.
Team building: She recruits aggressively. "I bring in about 12 new agents a month," she says. Indeed, in 2008, she received an award from Keller Williams for her recruiting success. "I was No. 1 nationwide," she says. Meanwhile, she’s still singing and recording.
George Herrera
Market Center Administrator
George Herrera signed on as the Market Center Administrator (MCA) for Keller Williams Realty Landmark in 2008. As the MCA, he is responsible for overseeing all financial, accounting and tax functions and has taken the lead in enhancing financial reporting systems and controls for annual budgets, forecasts and cash management.
In his current role, he oversees all operations at the Bayside, Queens market center and is focused on ensuring that the most dynamic real estate company in Queens & Long Island continues to provide its signature training and support to its ever growing base of associates. Focused on productivity and growth, he works to ensure that Keller Williams Realty Landmark continues to attract and retain the best real estate professionals in the area.
When he became the Market Center Administrator of Keller Williams Realty Landmark in 2008, the company had 119 associates. Today, associates number more than 250 and Keller Williams Realty Landmark stands as #1 real estate company in Queens County and Long Island with over $171 Million in Closed Sales Volume in 2009.
George is a graduate from the University of Houston, where he received a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a minor in Latin American Studies. Prior to joining Keller Williams George danced professionally, as a result he has traveled to over 26 countries, performed for Maxim Magazine, Carnival Cruise lines, and appeared in the acclaimed film "Step Up 3D".
